How many miles before brake change on 182

182 with 25k '04. Noticed in the last couple of days that braking from 60+mph, i get this grinding noise from the brakes as the car slows down towards the end. The only way to stop the grinding noise and loss of braking feel on the pedal, is to lift off pedal at 20-30mph ish and press down again instantly, braking feels normal after.

I don't heavy brake, the brake fluid is midway, but haven't checked thickness of pads.

Have read other threads which say it could be pads. But does 25k miles sound about right for this, as previous car (Corsa) didn't see new pads till around 40k.

Car is still under Warro, have booked it in Ren to have it checked out But dont want them to flob me off with 'Its your fault and not a warro claim' attitude.

Thanks

Pads can last between 5k and 100k depends on the driver.

Sounds like they need bleeding and changing only £40 or so for a new set.

it's not a warranty issue, its a wear and tear thing. I'm light on my brakes and in my 04 182 I changed the pads at 25k miles at which point they fell apart.

So I'd say change the pads.
