How many people have you surprised with your clio?

Through a B road I'm confident I'd be with an RS4 if not loose(depending on the driver), open road no chance. About a year ago I was in my evo thats 400/400 and I had a Meglio reading the small print on my rear reg plate couldn't shake it on a dual carrigeway...got to a twisty I know well and only just bettered him.

You need to go to a different dyno because if that's correct your evo is nowhere near 400 anything!🤣🤣

my mate used to own a (genuine 380 plus)MR340 it was epic EVERYWHERE.

It is amazing how many people with proper fast cars can't drive for s**t lol

If you can afford a proper fast car you probably don't want to lose your licence racing some herbert in a beatup 15 year old hatchback.

Not to mention the prison sentence you'd get if it turns out your driving skills actually aren't as good as you think and you wipe out some innocent on the same road.

First of all everyone is measuring their willy's, then we are all driving 'beat up' old French hatchbacks, some people like to share stories of their driving experiences, we all like cars and mostly performance cars... If you don't have anything but derogatory comments then why bother commenting? Same goes for Davo172 with the Ferrari comment, totally unfunny.... 👎🏻

Read it again I didn't make a Ferrari comment!

When that VERY WELL respected car journalist Harry Metcalfe told the story of him pulling away from a Gallardo Superleggera on tight twisties in a Clio 182 Trophy, was he measuring his willy as well or was he praising the little French hatchback?!?! Is he worthy of derogatory comments or just stating what he experienced?!?!

I was once all over the back of a Ferrari F430 for a few miles in my 172 Cup, not on the road though. As soon as we got to a 1km straight he was gone.

It's all about driver confidence and comfort.

The lads Meglio had North of 300hp, it was quick! Genuinely off the mark and around roundabouts no chance, when I dropped a gear at 60mph when he was right behind couldn't shake it.

I don’t drive like a knob as don’t do many miles but coming back from rs specialist last week had one those kia creed gt on my bumper , lad was being a tool so we turned down a quiet B road and was stuck behind a tractor as the road cleared onto a straight I went for it and so did he and he was absolutely distanced by my cup until it comes to a tight bend where I totally slowed down as roads were damp. He didn’t drive anywhere near me again and when we stopped at junction his mrs was laughing as they pulled up next to us. Totally satisfying

197/200 are leagues ahead of the 1*2s in the handling department, sure the 1*2s were amazing 10 years ago but the gap between them and how a normal car handles has narrowed considerably, the only people you’re surprising nowadays are people who can’t drive

On a Friday afternoon transits are one of the fastest vehicles on the road though

It's also surprising how quick post vans are in the Highlands and Islands!

  Twingo 133 Cup,
But then again 99% of people in the UK don't have a clue how to drive on single track roads!
Tourist season is the worst!

True, but given the choice to own, my experiences would put me in a mk2 for sure.

On the right road the clio is totally fantastic, b-roads are where is best I think. Changeable surfaces, camber, bumps dips etc etc.

Yes you can keep up when a super car is on it but that's only because it can only use a fraction of its potential in those circumstances.

Also you'll be very lucky to find a supercar owner that'll drive one like his rs turbo back in the day.....! 🤣🤣🤣
