how much can i lower?

hi, im anew member n i need some help. ive got a mk2 face lift 1.2 clio and ive got the 172 16" alloys on it. i wanna lower it but cant decide with 40mm or 60mm. has anyone done there and will it scrub? cheers

you have to have spacers mate to lower it as the offset is different, but i would say 40mm

is yours the mark 2 phase 2 i take it think most people feel they can drop it 60mm any lower and its best to get coilovers. ive dropped mine 60mm on standard shocks not best idea but it works fine they just wear out quicker. anyways hoped that helped
