BMC in my opinion far superior, better flow through the filter due to size/filter

have had both on old cars and always preferred the BMC

And 70 quid cheaper although have to factor throttle body adaptor if for a Valver/Williams.

Personal opinion, but yes they are. Sound better than the Viper as well.
