Tbh on the Evo sites there was a point within the last few years you’d couldn’t give them away. The leather ralliart seats sell for £6-£1000 depending on condition.

Evo 7 Recaros dell for £100 so that plus what ever the mounts are worth.

I've never seen a set sell for that low to be honest, even very tatty one. But i'm only exposed to clio forums and sites.

I sold a set of Evo 6 seats on the same mounts for around £400 (i don't recall the exact amount) about a year ago. But prices and demand change on this sort of thing. I'd have expected the Evo 7 seats to sell for more than an equivalent Evo 6 seat as they look and feel much nicer. Just don't get low enough for my liking, even with the lower mounts

2004 Clio 182 in Black Gold
97,000 Miles
12 Months MOT
Good service history, 10 stamps in the book with evidence of cambelts
Cambelt last changed at 74k in Mid 2016
Front brake hoses and rear bushes changed last week
New rear dampers last month

Scorpion RS-192 exhaust
Cooksport springs
OZ F1 wheels with next to new AD08r
Refurbished steering wheel

Decent overall condition, apart from a scrape on the corner of the front bumper.

I was thinking around £2000-2500... Is this realistic?

Any Recaro on Clio mounts are £300+

Dunno who you’ve seen selling Evo recaros for £60 but you should have used your brain and bought them. Even green Honda Recaros on Clio frames I’ve had friends sell them for £300

17,776 mile Clio 172 cup. Owned her just shy of two years I think! Absolutely mint & 100% standard. Cup plate worth £500

Just had belts, service & Mot at SG Motorsport. Full clean bill of health.

I’m struggling with a price. Any thoughts?

Dci 175 lux , 99k.

Loads of history, just had mounts and hub bearing and rear brakes at diamond motors.

Conditions ok, couple of car park dings, all 4 wheels kerbed.

Goodyear F1 all round, loads of life left.

No intention of selling immediately, but I have been considering upgrading my track car for quite some time now (to a 200 or similar). I have a good idea of what its worth if broken for parts, but selling as a whole unit is harder to gauge. Thoughts welcome.

Lightweight doorcards (from the door card chappy on here) front and rear
Assorted others, such as dog bone mount, random interior parts, bulbs, etc.

Garaged 100% of the time, 2000 miles a year average only.
Owned for coming up to 4 years.

That was my hunch. It's far from mint cosmetically, but solid and well maintained mechanically.

Think I'll try AT at 3k, and less on here.

5 doors bring more money imo too. As long as the DMF and injectors aren’t fucked then it should bring 3k on eBay it AutoTrader

Sounds silly as it is obviously a diesel but how do these cope doing not many miles (4 miles each way to work). Case of taking it for a good blast once a week? Are the generally quite reliable.

Quite interested in the car but im just after something reliable for work and sort of discounted diesels. Bodywork doesn’t bother me as such as i work on a building site and it gets destroyed within 2 days especially in this weather. Slightly over what i had in mind budget wise but at this price range there’s a certain comfort in buying from a genuine seller.

Has spent most of the last 4yrs going into London/Birmingham with a weekly blast on proper roads. It's been faultless. It's basically a Nissan pickup truck lump, reliable and strong.

I'm interested to see what other members feel this car is worth, as I haven't used the car since brands in October 2017 and before that was Bedford in October 2016.

It does need an MOT, which I can arrange no problem. It's also overdue a cambelt change and needs new engine oil as it's done 3 track days since the last change it had.

Spec as follows

2002 Car, 108,000 miles
I bought the car stock in 2011 at 106,300m and have slowly built it up over time. I must say it's the most fun you can have in a car on track, especially in the wet. As I said, I don't make the time to use it, so it's sat still for another 12 months. I have used the car for 4 track days and 2 sprints.

Shell/Interior
6 point Sparco Cage fully welded by Elweld Fabrications
OMP Seat with side mounts and Sabelt harness, welded seat rails
1.5L Fire Extinguisher in passenger footwell
Odyssey Red Top 30 Battery with cage, relocated to passenger footwell.
Flocked dashboard, cut around cage neatly
Deep dish LMA steering wheel and boss kit

Engine
BMC CDA air filter with custom pipe work, cold air fed
K tec manifold back exhaust with carbon trim in bumper
Ktec Engine Mounts and Powerflex Dogbone
Polyurethane Exhaust Mounts
Fabricated Oil catch tank with -10 breather pipe
New pair of driveshafts and Millers gear oil

Chassis
Bilstein B14 Coilovers with Solid Top Mounts
Whiteline Rear anti roll bar (one wet day at Brands, like new)
Powerflex Camber Bolts -2.25
Pro laser alignment by Auto Torque 1.5mm toe out
OMP Strut brace front and Unbranded rear

Brakes
Ferodo DS2500 front pads, braided lines and drilled discs
New Gulf Racing Fluid
PMS Shifter kit
PMS Wheel Stud & Nut kit

Wheels/Tyres
15 x 7 OZ F1's with Toyo R1R (good, 50% life)
15 x 6.5 Clio Turbines in white with Yoko AD08R (one wet day at Brands, like new)
Ali Bonnet pins

Notes
Laquer peel on bodywork, front wings, bonnet and headlights have been replaced, various small dents around the car, Cambelt overdue, MOT due,

I was thinking this package would be worth around £3,000

Anyone care to advise?

3k seems like a bargain, but belts overdue will always be a bartering point for buyers. And not many people buy built track cars, it seems wasting loads of money building your own is the preferred route! I'd put it out there at 3k and see what interest you get. I expect you'll get offers for parts though.

Thanks for the reply. I believe it would probably fetch more in bits but I would want to sell as a whole think.

It's sat there for so many years and got incrementally better each time I've driven it, that parting ways with it for nothing just isn't an option.

I could have the belts done, not a problem. Perhaps I will do that and get the MOT renewed and see what interest there is.

I priced parts up from your list at around 2k. I would personally do the belts and MOT and put it up for £3200-3400 and be prepared to take closer to 3k. Without belts I think it would be a hard sell.

A good guide on belt prices:

182/172 cambelt prices
Full cambelt kit and accessory belt kit £475
Dephaser adds £175 which also includes oil and filter as required
Waterpump adds £80 and this also includes fresh coolant
To re-seal cam cover adds £75
