Condition looks good, few nice bits too :)

Miles will put people off. Go back to standard and it’s probably 1250-1500

Can only buy try.

Unless people know the value of the parts second hand to bring the value of the car down. You will get people just focussing On the mileage.

Can only go down not up ref price, so start at £2k and see what happens :)

LY 182.
98k, FSH, 3 owners.
OZ Ultraleggeras, Miltek Exhaust, Eibach springs, and a few other little things.
The wheels could do with a refurb, but otherwise fairly tidy.

How much am I looking at?

Will stick 12 months MOT on for the buyer.

Good service history including timing belt and dephaser replaced 12k ago)
Remap from KTEC and printout showing 184bhp.
Oil and filter service every 2k miles during my ownership with genuine Renault products.
Gearbox and Power steering fluid replaced in the last 5k with high quality Fuchs fluids.
Engine and box removed less than 5k ago to replace clutch – engine all degreased and painted up whilst out (See photos). Inlet manifold, Inlet plenum, Injector cover and a couple of other pieces powder coated in gloss black

Will fully machine polish and wax the car over the next couple of weeks.

Issues: All cars have them.

Small bit of paint peeling on the front bumper where I think water has got underneath a stonechip. Barely noticeable.
Gearbox occasionally crunches into 1st gear. I’m 99% sure this is just the linkage needing adjusting.
EML comes on occasionally due to Decat.

New front ball joints.

New front track rods & inner/outer joints.

Engine oil and filter.

Recent engine oil and filter change (done 1 track day).

Brake fluid change.

Rear pads fitted.

Replaced starter motor last year.

Replaced throttle body last year.

New alternator fitted.

Car is currently SORN.

The bad bits:

This is a TRACK CAR...The bodywork is far from perfect! Dents/scratches/stone chips and a dull front wing, perfect for track but it’s not going to win no shows!

When I bought it I was told it had been written off before but I never ran a check as I didn’t care for a track toy. Any inspection is welcome and the car is really straight, no damage to any chassis rails and the floors are straight! Everything can been seen from the inside with it being stripped out and you’re welcome to have a good look underneath if wanted. Nothing to hide so I’m being totally honest.

The car drives great and I’ve had some great fun on track with it, it certainly goes well and can give much more expensive stuff a run for its money if you know how to pedal it!

Genuine reason for sale.

How much were you hoping to get for it?

The engine and gearbox must be worth £1,000.
As it could drop straight into another car and be good to go.
Trouble is then you’re going to be left with a shell that nobody wants.
You could sell the wheels for a few hundred but the rest of it will probably end up being weighed in.

Genuinely not sure mate.. I’d like to see 2.5k+ but doubt it would bring it tbh..
Plenty more than just the engine and box to sell though. The suspension is pretty much new, the seats, harness’, cage etc would all sell but I agree there would be plenty left over..

So, I'm finally leaving Renault and getting a new car. So, guys, I have no idea how much this is worth, and the question is do I part ex it or sell privately?

Here goes, 59 plate Clio, 1.5 DCI with 128k on the clock. It runs like new, pulls great as well. I got the car at 90k and have mainly done long motorway journeys.
The past two MOT's had no advisories, as I've looked after it very well.

Work done-

New wheel bearings about 9k ago

New track rod ends replaced at the same time as advised to do so

Alloys powder coated matte black

LED side lights fitted and LED reg lamps (small touch but looks good!)

Overall the car is in good shape, few scratches to be expected at this age.

As stated I don't know how much I'd ask for, or if part ex would be better value to the next car.
