No you don't, there's a little round flap that you remove under the sump plug.You have to remove the undertray to drain the oil though?

Normally 5w/40 to RN0700/0710 and 5l with a genuine filter will be just fine.

If you removed it from underneath would you not run the risk of getting oil on yourself. Never thought of doing it from underneath.Why would you not do it from underneath? As you're under there for sump plug anyway? Genuine question.
