How much should a new shock absorber cost?

Just had the MOT and failed:

Nearside rear shock absorber has serious fluid leak..

how much should it be to get a new one...

i also know the drivers side front one is leaking looking at it compared to the other side... could the testers have got it mxed up on the sheet???

Renault dealer quoted me £102 inc vat for a pair of rears for a 53 plate 172, if thats a guide to what to expect

Rear shocks are £43.51 each from my local dealer for a Mk2 172.
