How much should I pay for my first service?

  182 Cup
Folks

Car is over 12k miles now and need it booked in for its first service, one Renault dealer quoted me £179 and another one £209!

Both seem quite excessive I thought, can someone give me a ballpark figure?

go to a specialist cheaper and just as gd at 12000 youlll only really need filters oil and new waters pads should be fine

Can someone tell me what this first service actually entails?

The brakes are fine, i've checked them myself and i'm having yellow stuff pads in when they wear so they wouldnt be touched.
Obviously oil and oil filter would be changed, air filter wont be touched as I have an ITG in and look after it myself as well.

What else would be done?

Found the service listings in another thread, ignore my last question.

I paid £200ish for my 12k service at Renault, but my next service is going to be done at a specialist. Was told that will cost about £200 too, but a much better service!

Wont the ITG affect your warranty? personally I put my standard air filter back on when I go for a service so they dont know, thats if your using a renault dealer obviously.

£260 is fine if it includes 3 full tanks of petrol thrown in or they claim to be related to Dick Turpin

Should be no more than £180 inc vat

You could take it to GDI, I had my 36k service done their last year on my then 172, and at least you KNOW what engine oil is used, dealers prob use cooking oil from the local chippy

My second is due and I think I'll shop around. Renault garages are a franchise are they not? Same way you can play each branch off another when buying a car, surely you can do that with a service?

My first service was free and my second was £205. I was quoted £220 but it was cheaper and they replaced the rear blade.

I've just rung round a few Renault dealers for my 182's 12k service

Cheapest was £195 - no courtesy car available which i need , £202 and £220 . Supplying my own oil only drops the price by £20 .I'd prefer to have it serviced at Renault while it's still under warrenty in case they find any problems.

Robbing b4stards

Shop around the Renault minute garages as well and be willing to travel you can get it done for £150 if you shop round dealers and ask to price match etc.

BTW if you think say 2 hours labout at £70 an hour then say £60 for the stuff then £200 ins't that far off.

I'd like to know which Renault dealers will service my car for £150 parts and labour ?? I have to be willing to travel as i don't have any dealer that is local to me , hence the need for a courtesy car .
