how much u think this 03 reg 172 is worth?

  20vt Fiat Coupe(182 Sold)
My 05plate 182 with FSH and a warranty is up forsale at £5000, so i think the 172 is a little overpriced. Looks tidy tho.

thats what i thought, but just found an 04 reg with 54k for £3995 so could get him down to £3800 maybe. sounds good to me woop

you find when your looking for a car none are around, or stupidly priced or s**t but as soon as u stop looking, cheap mint ones are everywhere?! lol

Would you not prefer the Ph1 172? :rasp:

There cheaper and you can find some mint examples :D

+1 one, I could buy a trophy if I wanted. I decided the ph1 was the pick of the bunch, the trophy is a better car but I would rather have the £4k difference in my pocket, and if I wanted I could chuck £1500 at the ph1 on mods and it would be better than a trophy.
The markets flooded with ph2 172's and 182's I can't put a price on that, I would personally pay no more than £4k for a mint one. If the belts have been done and it really is as mint as they say (one mans mint is another mans snotter) then it might be worth a look but I wouldnt travel to see it based on that shoddy advert.

i went to see it, and it is mint, no scratches chips or dents. steering wheel is mint too. just spoke to him on phone and he said belts are due to be done, so he will get them done if i pay £4695 for car and he will do 6 months tax. i know this is too expensive but duno what to offer?? help lol

Are you paying cash? Im sure hes not going to refuse to do a deal at all.

Offer him £4200 if he does the belts, if he says no, leave your number and get him to call if he changes his mind and then leave. If he does, brilliant. If not, there will be others.

I personally think £4695 is too much.

He might say no, but you're the one with the money. Its overpriced and in the current climate, hes got to expect offers and its Jan, the worst time to sell cars.

I mean this in the least sexist way possible.. But have you got a b/f, brother, dad to take with you and let them haggle? lol

The salesman might just be thinking "here comes a woman, she'll pay top price" so dont let him win.

  A4 oil burner !!!

if the belts aint done walk away, they should have been done at 5 years old!!

dont know why people dont do them. Yes its expensive, but its in the service manual on its 5th bday for them to be changed.

good luck chief. flame red is nice, but belts are essential. car will be ebbing closer to its 6th bday!!

i would say though that some 182s on 05 plates are up for £5k or so. but its up to you.

  Italian 3.2 V6
i bought mine which is a very very similar spec as that milage and same year and colour etc etc... didnt have cambelt done and he had it advertised for 4,200 and i bought it off of him for 3,650 coz he hadnt had belts etc done. but the car was in immaculate condition in and out!, so offer him 3,800 for it! dont pay anymore than that for it! unless its hade belts etc done then dont pay anymore than 4,250!!

Just as a gauge, I bought my 03 172 a couple of months ago.

£3600. Got them to MOT that week (front discs replaced) and a 3 month warranty. Renault History, belts done. 56k miles.

Got it knocked down due to fronts very low, and no tax and no alarm due to it being an import (but has locking wheel nuts). So a few hundred quid later, its sorted.

Very minor stone chips (shocked at how few considering some cars I've seen of same age) and paintwork and wheels good all over. Oh and it has a stainless steel backbox, KTEC stealth I think, need it checked to be sure.

Monaco as well so same sort of premium as you'd expect for Flame Red.

Nearly bought a Flamer a few weeks prior for £4700ish and so glad I didn't. Bargain mate, hard time for sellers atm. £4200 seems good if nothing needs doing.

well just so happens ive just paid a member off here a deposit to hold his car for me... gettin the train up next sat, as work during week :( anyway i sooooooo cant wait i love the car!!
