Seen some horror stories recently.

Say 08 cup trade buy for stock??

The V6 thread got me thinking again;)

08 Cup I reckon could be bought 'trade' for £8500/9500? Ish.

Forecourt it for £10995/11995.

sounds a bit too generous especially if it was a dealers...

they like a good rape in price remember...they would give 8k odds then sell it for 11k

thats often because they will send it to the block, least an 08 car can go straight on the forecourt and a guaranteed sale.

  Whichever has fuel
Well the dealers I worked at, ran about £1500 profit on screen price, and after prep, over allowance on p-ex, VAT etc, managed around £6-700 profit per car.

I think £3k is a bit of a rip off tbh.

I knew a guy who worked at a Crysler dealer. They sold a Crossfire (when they first came out) to a lady that had only had Landrover's/Jeep cherokee's for years.

She brought it back 4 days later saying she didnt like being so low down and wanted to trade it for another Jeep.

Price paid friday 29,995
Trade in price given monday 20,000

A week later it went on the used lot for 25,995 with only 300 miles on it

That's the most expensive test drive I've ever heard of.
