How not to drive on a track day! GTR tool.

  Pug 206 SW, 172 CUP
Most people are awful drivers on their first time out. It's the not following the very sensible track day rules that are virtually the same where ever you go that's the annoying bit.

You would think that somebody on their first track day, would drive with an, air of caution.
But a knob is a knob, no changing that.

Hes tapping the screen to change the tracks etc on his music, that car is awesome hes not even trying, lol and until people stop slating everything nobody is going to attend meets etc for fear of meeting people in real life, i think this thread should be removed from cs, why not be nice for a change.

Shame, wanted to see that video.

Don't really understand what his weight has got to do with his driving though, so weight comments are pretty lame to be honest.

The weight thing........ he appears to be enough of a porker that he has the shuffle the wheel as his arms can't clear his gut. Not exactly great for on track car control

Because he was throwing his weight around in the pits after his antics with the mclaren, trying to threaten and intimidate (apparently). Also his 'friend' was making out that he was hard as f**k on gtroc because he is a big guy that weighs 25 stone. Hence my comment he has likely gotten away with it with the majority of car enthusiasts he has tried it on with because of his size, but his comeuppance is around the corner if he carries on like that. Hopefully he grows up!

So changing his music whilst out on track is okay then?

Not doubting that the car is good, and this would certainly not stop me going out for fear of bumping into him.
So I really don't get your point.

He's not driving like a newb. He's driving liking an aggressive c**t, and he's a danger to others.
I'm not quite sure how to be nice about about a prat diving up the inside under braking on corner entry. I'd rather he crashed on his own and went home.

Who the f**k listens to music when on track? The dozy c**t couldn't concentrate as it was, let alone bopping away to his favourite tunes.

Maybe it was a 'How to be a prick on track' instructional CD. If so, he listened.

A quick search of trackdays on YouTube shows a staggering amount of muppets on track with the tunes pumpin'!

Nissan should use this for an advert for just how good the GTR is that you can drive like a knob with no skill and still be the fastest on the track and not crash, just a shame you can't say not cause a crash.

I was there, but I'd left before the incident with the McLaren. He deserves the stick TBH, apart from the personal abuse about his size which is out of order and there's just no need for it.

It was a very busy day and the majority of people were perfectly fine, but there was a huge spread of cars and abilities. The marshaling wasn't up to much IMO. Plenty of people getting repeatedly black flagged but not chucked out and later in the day it became a bit of a free-for-all probably because people realised nothing was going to happen. Given the publicity this has generated I imagine there is a huge amount of s**t flying around at MSV.

As to why didn't anybody have a word he was one of about eight guys constantly together in a group, I personally didn't have a problem with him as we didn't head out on track at the same time very often but if I had have done I wouldn't have fancied going over and saying "Excuse me mate, but I don't think your driving is up to scratch" in front of his mates.

His mate brought his weight up 1st...

Quote from his mate..

If anyone wants to say anything to him in person next time, please feel free. Look out for him next time, he's pictured below. Can't be many 6ft+ guys weighing in at 25stone driving GTR's

It's hard not to judge a book by its cover sometimes.

A lot of these no neck types seem to be attracted to my local town, they're always trying to prove something/start fights.

Chip on shoulder springs to mind.

There had already been plenty of comment about the guys size before that, I thought it took away from the central point about his driving, but anyway it's a side issue and only my opinion.

I had an email from MSV yesterday saying they had hopefully brought the marshalling at Bedford back to the "usual high standard" so fingers crossed if the guy is out there again driving like that then he'll be kicked out.
