How should i tint my windows

Im looking into getting window tints but am unsure of how to go about it. I want them to be legal as a couple of my mates have been fined for having dark smoke all round! I definitely want dark smoke at the back and rear side but should i go for the darkest possible on the front sides or just leave them clear? Has anyone got pics of dark smoke back/light smoke front. Its for a mk2 ph2

Ive just got a light tint on the back three, as the front are factory tinted to the legal max on the new clios. I have been compimented on them and I like them!! They do look quite dark in the sun. Got them done at a place in Wickford, Essex for £75 per window...dont know where you are tho mate!!

April, mine are tinted 35% all round, I have a certificate from Northants police saying its Legal as the place I used wanted to get police approval so they came alone with a light meter etc and tested them

The fronts are tinted to 7% (i think) in the factory, but the police give or take 7%, which is how its legal. Having had them tinted 35% at the front

DM lets not start the bitching about tints again, (Im tired of hearing about it) some do look VAN like but each to there own........

Spirez, one word of advice, have it done properly, Pentagon tints look superb *coughs* Freds car...... I wish id actually used them in the end.

Depends where you live, but the one in Watford was £100 cheaper than the one in Birmingham, so its well worth ringing around....

if you live anywhere near central scotland go to magma in bathgate, masters of their art!

the windows are no where near the legal limit out of the factory. The legal limit is 30%

I got 20% all round, I know its illegal...but the police in my area dont really care. So its all good.

Im not really a fan of tints, the standard slight one looks quite classy, but anything more doesnt suit the Clio imo. Lets face it, you dont see many self important superstars or pimps driving in Clios do you!? I know theres the security element but then you can get something like Supaglass which will actually stop intruders.

Rob theres a first for everything, lol. Dogmaul what do you mean by making it look like a van?! I definitely dont want limo black tints, too dark for me. BTW im in the West Midlands area.

Ah i think i get you DM, my cars silver so it wont look like the windows are actually panels
