The Boosh!

Hello!

Norm snapped a bolt into the hub of my car so im currently rolling on 3 bolts :o

Anywho, bought a new hub cheap and need to fit it. i know i need a ball joint remover or something but apart from that is it a hard job and can someone help me out :)

Sorry if its in wrong place

done the same on my 5 gtt and clio 16v before, wheel off, track rod off, split the bottom joint, strut bolts out..........then you need a press, some garages might say a tenner while others chance it for more..

Just get the thread out of the hub with a stud extractor Boosh. You spack.

good option.

If you do decide to replace the hub, I've never bothered with a ball joint remover. I find it easier to remove the ball joint from the wishbone, then remove the ball joint from the hub if re-using it. When refitting, put in one of the strut bolts, then one of the ball joint bolts, then the other strut bolt, then the final ball joint bolt.

Already tried dave... didn't work, the extractor just spins ( yes im turning it the opposite way). It kinda bites turns about 2 times into the stud, gets stiff then goes loose again:(

disc/caliper/hub nut all need to come off as well. basically, just need to disconnect everything that's bolted to the hub - fairly straightforward
