How to fit a wire in glove box?

  ?
Basically thinking of running an ipod/ aux connector to the glove box, is any drilling required? I use to just have a 3.5mm jack fed through where the bin is on my old clio but im interested in installing the ipod on the glove box this time.

Any advise?

I ran my ipod lead firstly down to the cup holders near the gear stick, Didnt like the messy look. So i fed it back and up the back of the glove box and theres a hole big enough to get the ipod connector thorough.

Any ideas where this hole is? off the top of my head i dont remember one (i did look once)

Can someone post pics? Dont want to drill anything!

Cheers

There's a panel at the back of the glovebox which pushes out. Im sure you could get one custom made or just source another one and drill it!

ive got my ipod going to where the clock is. its in reach for skipping tracks and the wire can be hidden when im not in the car. the wire goes from the lighter into the centre console up the dash in between the heater ducts and the little shelf thing by the clock just lever it out with a blunt knife

I think the holes are only in some models, i.e. i don't think they are in the 182?
If you get a fairly big drill bit you can just drill a small hole in the RHS of the glovebox, wont be difficult and will mean you can feed the wire in no problem...

You only have the hole if you haven't got a glovebox light, which an RSi should have so its drill time.
