how to get exhaust poppin ?

I have a valver and wonder if there is any exhaust people recommend for getting rally style popping from the exhaust :rasp:

I just love that noise !

even better if i had a dump valve and popping :D

and maybe a meaty V8 roar, of even a subaru boxer engine tone

but less of the dreaming and more on makin my valver got poppin mad

Matey.....you don't even need a decat...a decent stainless cat back will do the business.....my 1.2 16v with stainless cat back....you knows what its like!

what do you make of the k-tec system ?

Which tail pipe did you opt. for ?

I had a Piper Exhaust on my fiesta 1.4 and that popped like mad !

I loved it.

Any one got Piper on there Valer at the mo ?
 
Full stainless with a decat (no gay silenced ones) and as few silencers as poss, then proceed to get it stinking hot and it should pop a treat.

I used to have a full stainless with de-cat and that was LOUD and all i did to pop it was keep pressing my foot on the accelerator slightly and 'pop, pop, pop' we go

The K-tec system is really good(my opinion) good quality, and I went for the 4 1/2" round tailpipe option, hope you like loud also!

Yeh just rev it past 4 grand and back off, then leave your foot on the pedal really slightly, it works without the decat too!
 
mine poped like crazy with the decat. had a straight through 2" bore stainless steel exhuast, was far too loud for me because of work (i'm an estate agent) but did pop loads

rev the crap out of your engine, switch off the ignition, and then switch it back on again, works a treat on older non fuel injected cars. Probably knackers the Manifold 2 thought!!!??

I loved my Piper on the fiesta ! might have to buy another one !

as for size i'll just have to see.

3.5" rolled seems to suit the clio best !?

i got a full custom made system with de-cat. it pops when coming off high revs. and sometimes low when its hot. peak popping is around 3000 lol
 
Some do with a de-cat some dont', mine still doens't even wiht a de-cat and stragith through centre section, need to get it remapped, get teh fueling right lol.

I can do brand new de-cats for the mk1 clio For £35 delivered, sorry can't do them for the mk2 clio

Seems Harder to make a 172 pop! my 1.2 was the same.

You'll struggle to make the fly-by-wire TB cars do it. (172mk2,cup,182 etc)


however, for about 2 mins when you first start up they will crackle a bit when you rev them due to the cold fuelling cycle.
 
Mine used to pop ever so slightly when I had the car back on for a month or so.

It's 10x louder though with the de-cat, sounds mental!
