How to raise the exhaust??

Fitted my new Ktec Recessed Supersport exhaust yesterday.. Wasnt planning on having an exhaust on the car, but the current one started blowing like a b**ch and I hear that Renault like you to bend over for a replacement :dapprove: ... So £330 and a thinner wallet later came this:

Only problem now is that it is sitting too low and slightly to the right. Pics:

How can this be resolved? Is it a case of new exhaust mounts?

Thanks!

i had that with my exhaust it was to do with the rear mount being as weak as arses lol. i just lodged something inbetween the rubber mounts, cabled tied the exhaust over to the left a bit if your looking at it and problem solved! although im sure a trader or someone does an aftermarket rear exhaust hanger for like £15. best to just have a play with it mate till you get it right

loosen rear exhaust hanger, prop exhaust up as high as you can (so its touching the rubber bumper surround as it will drop a bit when you tightnen everything up and let go)

tighten up the rear hanger and if its still sitting to the right then do as the guys above have said

Thanks everyone, Martin_172, ill give your tip a go and hopefully that will sort it (and I wont have to fork out anymore money lol).

If not, ill be ordering some new mounts! :(

Thanks!

it'll be that^(re. Martin. new/modified hanger's a good idea, as everyone else) - you can see from the picture that the box has dropped to the right. the problem is that there's only the one hanger (on the left) and, unless you do the back box to system clamp up v tight, it'll just twist itself down in the system pipe. something like a mikalor/norma clamp's your best bet as they're much better clamps than these u-bolt affairs

i've got this problem with my supersport stealth. I adjusted it to fit perfectly this weekend, and was nice and hidden, now its sagged about 6 inches, fcuk knows how.

on my 1.2 i got a powerflow universal bush. choped it to fit tight with one of the holes near the top of the mount and cable tied it in place job done

Ive never fitted an exhaust so i dont know the exact ins and outs...

Did you cut the bumper before putting the exhaust on?

Could do with being cut a 1cm to the right, But it must be a pain guessing.

As said i would jack it up, use a few socket heads to keep the exhaust held up and cable ties to make it sit right.
