I have been trying for ages to undo the hub nut on the front driver side but it wont move. Have tried soaking it in WD40. Is there any other way of doing it or is it just stiff.
Get a bigger bar on it or get someone stronger. If your working on axle stands, you want to be stood to the side, and pulling up to undo rather than pushing down as you'll have more power when pulling upwards on the bar.
Aren't there loads of people in Warrington on here, someone could give you a hand I expect.
Sounds like you may need a deeper socket. The best way is to pop the centre caps off the wheel, put the wheel on lower and undo with the car on the ground through the cap. Find the longest bar you have.
See the sockets in the red box that I have below and the long bar next to the foot pump.
I'd just take it into a garage and get somebody to put and airgun on it tighten it back up nurse it home and it will come off fine. The ones on my car were solid when they first come off I had a pole so long I was standing at the drivers door holding it and the pole bent before the hub nut budged lol.
