I.C.E/Electronic advice needed

Hiya,

I purchased a set of monitors about a year ago from a dude at work (£5 Can't complain) and Iv'e finally got around to messing with them, looking at the unit it appears to use a 4 Pin Mini S-VIDEO connection as it's only connector.

Does anybody know if the Mini S-Video connection provides sufficient power to the unit to make it operate, looking around the unit there are no other connectors to provide power to the unit and it has no manufacturer markings or distinguishing detail to help me identify the specifics.

After taking it apart it appears to have a mainboard manufactured by Sharp (GCMK-M1X)

I appreciate this is a hairline to go on but if anybody has any idea about the specifications of the unit it would be most helpful.

It's 8" with a flip down screen and two lamps (I only needed the screen though so the rest has been removed)

I'll get some pic's of the unit after work, not that it helps ;)

Cheers
Paul

Just checked and it actually appears to be a PS2 style connector, which I know supplies power so mystery solved I guess !

Finding something that outputs video via PS2 thought might be tricky lol
