I got myself a cup!

Went to look at it last night, picked it up today :approve:

All i can say is wow. What a amazingly fun car to drive.

Its going to give me many smiles for the miles :D

Just taking it easy at the moment though, as the weather is s**t, so a bit slippy. Still getting used to using a clutch again too, as i have been driving an auto around since july, lol.

Couple of little bits i want to sort out, but nothing major.

One thing i need to get checked out it is the headlight height. People kept flashing at me, thinking i had high beam on. So i flashed them back, and this was even with the lights dimmed low on the adjuster dial.

I cant wait for a nice dry day, so i can take it for a proper drive and see what it can do.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow

yeah i know mate. Im taking things easy.

A cup and hail/sleet dont go well together at all, lol. I had to pretty much pull away in 4th to get it to go without wheel spinning!

Hopefully tomorrow shall bring me better weather.

nice one mate, enjoy and as you say take it easy till you get used to it!!!

get some pics up asap

Have fun, I went for a 30 mile blast at midnight last night as it was fairly mild out, soooo much fun. Never has a car just urged me to go out at such stupid times before.

enjoy i love mine when you are goin over speed humps and around town then when its a nice bit of road a few bends what a car comes back to ya then why you got one in the first place

Yes all the hairdressing stuff has gone!

Still going easy, as its been snowing here today, and no ABS and snow dont mix well!

Guy, unless you are getting an M3 or something, dont bother getting a beemer.

They are seriously boring to drive. Comfy and refined, but boring as fook!

I have taken a couple of mates out in the cup tonight, and neither of them could believe the balls out grunt of the car.

Im still shocked everytime i press the loud pedal!

How many miles has it got?

Mine, now on 50k, is a totally different animal compared to when it had 20k or so on it.

They get so much better with age :D hope you enjoy it.

Its got just over 44k on the clock. It does just seem to want to be pushed so hard all the time. One thing im finding hard to get used to is how sensitive the throttle is, especially compared to the beemer.

It certainly feels quick. I'll have to get it on the rollers next year at some point.

Hoping to get de-cat and magnex exhaust for it early part of next year too :D

ive driven an e46 m3 cabriolet and f**k me that thing was amazing, had the roof down driving through town past all my mates who were staring thinking ''what the f**k'' (im 20yo) then had a quick 155mph roof down blast down the dual carriageway.

my mates got a 325ci and its so comfy and quiet

im considering getting a 320d convertible (at least 04regd cos the front lights are better and they have the LED rears)
will be well slow, but nice comfy quiet drive, look sweet and decent economy..

but not sure i could live without the performance there so who knows..

Be careful gaybear, you've bought one at the worst time of year! Buy another BMW when you're 50, but in the meantime have fun!

Sh33n - Its a 172 Cup, in blue.

Daz - Bushy wishes his was faster! And you and I both know he drives like a girl! He also told me the other day that yours looks like its on stilts compared to his ;)

Guy- Mine was an E36 323 cab. The looks you get in the summer are good, cause like you im only young (22) so the girls in town seem to think you have a bit of cash. The only problem is, they eat all of your cash in petrol! Mine was doing an average of 20mpg, and that was driving normally. If you gave it any stick, it would give about 7.2mpg!

So while the beemers do look good, and are lovely cars, they come at a price (unless you get the s**t small engined versions).

Racing Blue - At least getting it now, i will be fully prepared for it in the summer :-D You worry to much, now when do you want to come and help christen it?

Dam right! lol

Well the weather has been a bit better today, still a bit damp on the roads though.

Its annoying, as every time i plant the loud pedal in first or second it just spins up all the time. So i have to progressivley push it down, but it still gets to silly speeds in seconds.

Roll on the summer! :approve: :D

Well at the moment, im averaging about 29mpg, so that should give you some idea how much im enjoying it at the moment. But that is mainly on short runs, around town, so that may be something to do with that, as i dont feel like im driving it stupidly fast everywhere.
