i need a bath after servicing my clio took two days and im greasy and sweaty

lol tried arthrthritic jar opener and jubilee clip with double sided tape hit with wood and hammer finaly got right tool

Well I'm gunna fess up and say it took me a full day to do my first oil change.

That did include going to the shops for an oil filter removal tool, and when that didn't work (it just made a mangled mess of the filter which was seized on tight), I had to read up on the internet about what the hell to do. In the end the solution was bang a long screwdriver through the casing and twist.
It was a bit of a difficult job for a complete newcomer tbh.

The only other way I can see it taking that long is if you wreck the thread tightening the sump plug, never done it myself but read about a newbie who did :)
