Id would imagine yes, i work for VW and our batterys have a 3 year warranty, so get it booked in for diagnosis - remember it could be an electrical issue thats draining it, so it might not be the battery

Could be alternator...as 3 hour run should charge the battery (even a little bit) could be starter motor if you have to jump it to start. Get Renault to check it out as if its 14 months old...something isnt right and should be covered under warranty.

Take it into Renault, they should investigate it under warranty but could cost you quite a bit if it isn't a warranty issue.

To be fair I cant see anything that could fail in 14 months that wouldnt be covered by warranty. Its 3 years or 60k from memory for warranty and as long as youbhave let them service it and havent done anything drastic, you should be fine and covered by warranty. Just make sure they tell you if there is gonna be a charge as you can get them under sale of goods act if the car isnt 'fit for purpose' ;)

Batteries can be classed as wear and tear by some companies. I work for Volvo Trucks and batteries are only covered by warranty if it has a bad cell within the first 2 years and covered for other faults goodwill up till about 6months.
