I need some advice!

I put my Mk2 Clio 172 in for its 48000mile service on tuesday, i have had a few problems with my clutch sticking, renault told me they lubricated it. Now everytime i depress the clutch it makes a whirring noise! Also the handling is all over the place - no grip from my front tyres and it doesnt like stopping - near miss this morning! I am taking it back in this morning! Has anyone has any similar experiences?

I take it all the discs & pads are in good condition? My discs only lasted 36k and pads only about 14k. Plus if youre running conti sport contacts then when they wear out they change the handling quite a bit, especially in these greasy conditions.

Maybe check the brake fluid level aswell.

They didnt spill any fluid did they? if it was a service, they would have changed much other than the oil, filters etc. Nothing that would have upset the handling/braking ability. Defo get it back to them

Front pads and discs where replaced 4000miles ago, rear pads and discs are a bit low but nothing that needs replacing urgently. I had brand new contis fitted when the discs and pads where replaced. Its feels like something is greasing my tyres and brakes. I lost all confidence in the car this morning when it would not stop just ABS and no grip! Ive got no grip in the corners! - Ive checked the tyre pressure 31PSI upfront, 32PSI to the rear.

did you use a calibrated pressure tester or the one down the petrol station?

Go buy a Draper Profesional tester they are only £14 quid, and it shoes the differance between what the garadge says and what is actualy in there, mine were out quite a lot, that does mess handeling up some

My 182 is a bit slippery on the roads some mornings like today, but thats just low tread and crap road surface

Oh ABS, I havent got it so couldnt comment on that. They didnt damage a brake line or something? Id put the front tyre pressure up a bit more than the rears mate.

Dont think it needs a tyre pressure gauge, it sounds like they have spilt something on the tryes/brakes and its causing traction problems. Buy some gunk (Grease/oil remover) and give the tyres a once over (Not sure if its ok on brakes).

Cheers for your advice, waiting for the dealer to get back to me on what the problem is! I tested the tyres at the local petrol station - James 182. The guy at the service desk told me that my car had done a lot of miles for its age and it could be wear and tear, 48000miles aint that bad - is it! Its all been done on the motorway. - my point is that the car was fine before they serviced it!

What a load of sh*t, hes telling porkys mate, nothing to do with the age, especially as you said the discs, pads and tyres are newish. Dont have any of that. Dump the keys and say sort it out.
