i think iv found the highest miler iv seen

160k - no bad. around 5 years old, so shes been on 3k approx a month - pretty solid motoring that!!

Imo only worth about £500 though as its engine is gubbed.
 
actually he'd be splitting it as im sure that would fetch more!!

though 1300 at the mo so maybe not too bad

id love to see how melted the steering wheel is
 
Get trackday project shell right there, it's got FSH. Matt would source an engine for £500, then strip the b**ch down.

Good car for a project IMO.
 
would be alright as an everyday car.. bet all shocks have already been done.... just do engine, box and shafts if theyre original and i reckon it would feel alright... i would have thought most consumable parts have been done already....
 
One owner from new aswell, stick a recon lump in there and your laughing. Looks like it needs a major detailing though.

^^ thats the 1st thing i thought! like said you can get an engine for about £500!

but like over ppl have said it even could be used as an every day car! for the right price;)
 
you guys serious, if this was running and had done about 45-60k it would be worth 5-6K no?

it needs a new engine so other than springs/shocks and steering wheel not much else can go wrong with it can it?

thats alot of car for £1300!!
 
I would have expected the engine to last much longer than that after a fsh. it must have had a hard life.
I cleaned an old jag once that had done 300k all on the same box, diff and engine.

It's a pain having a car with no / blown engine sat around if you can't do the work, so I'd guess they'd take a cash offer of less than the start price for you to take the problem away.

Like everyone has said, you could change all the mechanicals, if you are handy with spanners why limit yourself to a 2.0 renault engine you could make this whatever you want! A day with some decent polish and a pc would have the body looking ship shape and whip those cracked fogs out and whack a couple of caf's in.

Wish I had the room / spare cash to buy it myself!
 
Anyone remember that work horse golf r32 on ebay a while back, which used to take diamonds to & from Germany ??

That was on 500k !!!
 
I think all that had been replaced in it was the gearbox, it came with a spare engine too.
 
i'd love this as a project. I think 1.5k-2k would get it back on the road in tip top conditon.

I think if you bought it for £1k that wud be about right.
