I want a 172 Cup...

  RS6+ & 40d MSport X5
Eh?

I did 100k miles in four years commuting 70 miles a day - if you mod it sure it's no good (mine isn't anymore) but as standard why don't you think they're any good as a daily hack???
Mine was modded mark ;)

In my very honest opinion, i thought my ph1 was more agile and quicker than my old Cup.

I've just bought another ph1 for my European road trip in June! Should i have stretched my budget for a cup? Who knows, think i'l be glad of the aircon when i get there lol!

When all is said and done, I can see the 172Cup being the kind of car that you'll find concourse examples of in 10 years. I can't say the same of any 182 except the Trophy. Sadly, most RS Clios are now becoming charver sheds.

Well it's about 70kg in difference between the 182 and 172 Cup. The air con which is about 30kg is the majority of it (In one item). Turinis or lighter wheels should make a difference too so I don't think it's the weight. Maybe it's those coilovers on yours Chris, makes it handle a bit s**t. ;)

LOL.

It's the rawness more than being a lot quicker. Mine actually felt better in the corners, the Cup rolled quite a bit.

The guy in the projects section (Project Showroom 172 cup) was on about selling his.

Probably the mintest one in existance! lol.

  R14 CUP
I love mine - wouldnt sell it for any other clio, bar a Trophy or a Williams.

I am fortunate, that it doesnt come with the standard seats and has recaro's in there instead.

I <3 my cup!

Yeah, yours is great, always liked it.

Gaz's old one is still my favourite though. Along with Newms' old one.

Mine will be MINT. Booked in for paint end of March, then wheel refurb, then full detail incuding engine. Want it to be near concourse. Not fiddling with this too much, they look ace as they are.

  R14 CUP
Mine has just had the front end resprayed to get rid of all the annoying stone chips, gonna get rear bumper done sometime soon too.

I wish i could make mine into concourse - but with it being a daily driver - that will never happen :(

Oh mine is-ish. When it comes warmer i'm gonna give it a full wash down underneath, clean up all suspension/hub components then crack out the smooth black hamerite. All helps with the clean look :)

Hmmmm

I really like Pritchards? RB 182 on the cupped black rims he has. But think yours looks sooooo right on the white Turinis? Also, black wheels are a b*****d to keep mint. Swirl up and you need tyre black everytime you give it a bath......

Yeah, exactly my thoughts mate. White it is then. I have four fresh PE2's waiting to go on too.

Cheers.

Hold out for a 'mint' Silver 172cup! And fit recaro treadlines.. Winner!

PSJ.

Silver Cups FTL. Mondial is the only colour to have a cup in.

I'm a huge 172 Cup fan. Not driven one though. Just love the look of them.

Don't you think Mondial is pretty bland though seeing so many about? Kinda like every colour I guess though.

You don't see that many cups. Albeit I saw one before. However if you want the rarest (and best ;)) 2.0 RS Clio then you get a ph1. Sunflower for ultimate rare too.

:nono: tut tut! lol.

I do like Silver Cups, I nearly went down to Reading to view one. I do prefer the Blue though.

I do like yours Jonff, just the way it sits is great.

BUT, if I was sat there at a CS meet I'd feel kinda, abit plain and stuff. If I was driving one round I'd probably be going crazy because I'm driving an RS lol, but if my 1.2 was mondial I wouldn't feel quite so in your facish, more average blue. I seen one yesterday and caught my eye straight away, stuck out like a very beautiful sore thumb inbetween all the other lesser looking but better build cars

I'd have a Mondial, but would be afew different touches on it. Plus it's dark enought to warrant gloss black IMO, unlike the naughty, so would jizz that all over it.

Want a rare RS Brett, find me a V6 in Lunar grey :) Never seen a V6 in the flesh :(

Mondial blue is nice.. But common..

IMO it's Such a shame the 172cup didn't come in it's own, a one off colour like the trophy did.

PSJ.
