icy air on my legs coming from underneath the dashboard

  172cup
As above guys.
Its so annoying, climate con works fine but when its off and i go faster than 40 icy air is coming from the dashboard, just right under the steering wheel on the right.
I had a look with a torch and it seems to be the air recycling flap.
When the climate is off the flap is half way through to close.
Any tips?
Is it gonna be f**king expensive to fix? :(

I took the car to a Renault dealer, they said car is fine :S
They said its totally normal.
If you got a climate control fit in the car can you tell me if you getting air flow straight on your legs from underneath the dashboard when you go faster than 50-60 ( climete switched off)?

Thanks

If i remember my 182 correct then yes this flap thing is open all the time until you press the button that is just for cabin air (not sure what it looks like off the top of my head, may have an arrow on it) anyway if you press that button it closes the flap but after a while your windows will mist up as there is no fresh air getting in.

Ill go and double check it, for what i remember mine its always half open and when i push the cabin air it gets wide open.

Thanks Blackpanther

Something's bust, mine is doing it too, its quite a breeze that comes in not normal. Mine is intermittent though doesn't do it all the time. Only fix I've found so far is to turn the climate on then off again a couple of times, forces it to close. If not put it on re-circ before turning it off. Can't be arsed to investigate further until it becomes a more permanent problem.

I had a close look over lunch.
Basically the the cabin air flap doesnt close all the way through.
Plus if you shut the air con down witht the air reclying off, it doesnt close at all.
Bit s**t but i'll try to do what you said for the time being.
just wondering who I should go to get it fixed, that guy at the renault dealer looked like hes never seen a climate on clio before :S
