I stayed in the 1st lane to come off at the first exit and the clio moved into the 2nd lane to overtake me on the dual carriageway on the first exit.
By the speed he passed me it was a 1.2 glanced at him as he went past and he pulled in too early cutting me up. Taking avoiding action I swerved and mounted the kirb on the near side of the car which spun the car round, front half on the grass and the rear half on the road.
For obvious reasons, the clio did not stop and probably had a chuckle at us in his rear view mirror. I am happy however that Ally and I walked away from this hurrendous incident without even a scratch and I give full credit to the RS Megane for the protection it has given us. Thankfully, there were no pedestrians, cyclists, or other motorists involved.
3 years no claims bonus I had which allowed me to afford the car have no gone which in effect means I'll be reduced to a corsa or clio ironically. No real lesson I've learnt from this because its impossible to anticipate everyones next move on the road, all you can do is be careful.
Gutted .
