Illumination Cable

Ive taken my Alpine headunit out and found an illumination cable not connected to anything, just wondered where about in the dash this could be found. Ive got a Mk1 Ph3.

could use the wire which goes to fag lighter? the one which illuminates up

its just a positive connection iirc when lights coem on

its basically to dim the head unit lights when you turn on your headlights, like the OE head unit did

as has says, you can connect it to anything that turns on when the headlights are turned on, there is a specific cable, but its in the ISO block, and i cant remember which wire it is

its much easier to run it to fag lighter illumination cable, pretty easy to find, itl be positive when u turn on lights hehe

basicly if u crimp it to that, ur head unit will dim at night basicly.
