Induction noise

I am going to buy an k&n panel filter for my 1.4 16v clio but I have had an idea and wanted to ask people's opinion, if I get my panel filter then remove the standard airbox then connect an air intake pipe ( something like this http://ramair-filters.co.uk/ducting-automotive/80mm-aluminium-ducting-.html ) from the original place straight through to the panel filter housing would I get that induction sound, let me know what you think, thanks

if you want induction noise fit a cone filter easiest way mate.

So remove standard intake and use intake tubing with a cone on the end , would a cone with tubing straight to the engine be ok, that is basically an induction kit isn't it? , thanks

No just fit a cone filter to the end of your standard intake pipe that's connected to the throttle body.

Induction noise + going nowhere due to no power looks / sounds gash IMO. But it's your car, so if you really want the noise, cone filter as mentioned is best.

​Not necessarily. Can fit the cone filter in front of the panel filter. They have a semi cold air feed as standard, just fit the cone to the end of that.

Ok now I've looked, the throttle body is where the air intake connects, so just have the tubing straight from there to the cone?

you would need 60mm for the pipe.

you could fit a panel filter junk the original caf and resonator box wouldnt give you much induction noise like the photo below.

or get a K&N induction kit get loads of induction noise like the photo below

fit an intercooler between your throttle body and the cone filter. Pure induction noise and lower intake temps win win situation.

Down to the poor video quality, sounds distorted. The K&N gives a nice grunt. But nothing in comparison to exhaust upgrades

Each to their own, same with the noise, personally I love it on mine but others hate it. Most annuying thing about them is overtaking on the motorway! bwaaaaaaaaaarp!

Could I leave to panel filter housing on but remove the filter then from there have cold air feed to a cone?

yes you could.
