Standard Ktec intercooler at the moment which is super tiny so I am planning on something bigger but depends on what will fit in such a cramped space
Yes the kite intercooler is very small and restrictive. I opted for a PWR intercooler, which has very minimal pressure drop and highly rated. Look it up: PWR Aero2 Intercooler, core size 500 x 196 x 68mm 2.5" outlets

Cheers dude. I just got them to quote:

The Aero 2 intercoolers have now been superseded by Aero 3.

The part number and details would be as follows,

PWI78871
Street Series Intercooler - Core Size 500 x 200 x 68mm, 2.5" Outlets£462.91

Price is ex VAT and Ex Works PWR Europe. Presuming you are in the UK, delivery would be £15 and lead time approximately 5 weeks

Just adding this for the people interested.

I’m still running in the engine so will need remapping once it’s had some miles under its belt. It is still slightly over fuelling when cold but fine when warm. Spits flames well too 😳😆👍😷

Also fitted a new LED high level brake light in the cup spoiler as it’s been dead for a while. Looking at the board, I can see why 🤪😆

I wanted the front end to look slightly more aggressive so I dropped in some bonnet vents. A little for cooling bit mainly for looks

All that lovely engine work I had done and none of it is visible. Oh well. At least it has solve gold shines bits on

So last week the Clio went for it’s MOT knowing that it has been dismantled and rebuilt twice (as the first New Genuine crank pulley keyway snapped and bent all of the Super tech valves) and been standing for 17 months. There was a few electrical issues, washer pump died, callipers sticking etc.

She came home with a little list of ‘to dos’ so I could finalise the project, if project cars are ever finalised.
All the electrics were silly little issues
Front brake callipers were totally refurbed
New washer pump installed
Track rod ends replaced with Engine Dynamics units

She went back for a retest today and came back with a Pass. Woohoo

Now we are ready to put some road miles on the new engine and have her remapped ready for track days at Castle Combe

Looked like it was under a shade cloth for a min, but then realized it was the umbrella in the foreground. Looking good

So another update so far:

We tried the 100mm pulley but it was just to big. This caused the belt to touch itself on the return, so we went back to the original 85mm and ditch the 70mm.

Fuelling was awful (60 miles on a full tank) so took it up to see Chris at EFI. He had a look at the map which was astonishingly bad. Had a good few hours sorting this out to get it running beautifully. It now runs at 230bhp and is very strong in all gears up to red line.

just need to get all the suspension all dialled in and corner weighted ready for the track.

  Whichever has fuel
Drop me a pm when you’re next at combe. I usually do 10 days a year there and it would be good to meet some new people.

Added a bit of branding today. My god what an arse of a job to get right. Looking better now though 👌
