Inferno Surf Bus

So, the plan was to buy an old 'dub for my surfing advertures... however money isn't on my side at the moment so had to make do with the Clio. Went to Cornwall again this weekend, first time I took my own car so here's some pics. 512 miles, 34mpg, average 45mph with a full boot and the boards on top. The 182 did a sterling job :approve:

I know it's not very clean, however under the rather grubby exterior is a mint 182... this one just gets used and abused, as well as being pampered when needed :)

Many thanks to Dan for getting the roof bars to me in time, legend :D

I hope you all enjoyed Trax...?

That grass looks lush!

lol, it's one of the best maintained campsites I know.

If you don't mind me asking? Where and how much were the roof bars?

They're genuine Renault bars, I got them second hand from dajones on here for £25.

Where did you camp Dan?

Looks cool... can't beat a Cornwall surf weekend!

Wooda Farm in Bude again, been 3 times in the last 2 months... and going back again in 2 weeks, probably the last opportunity this year :)

Your car makes me love Inferno.

It doesn't look it's best in those pics tbh, but it's being well used :D

Dan, Bude's a good shout. It's worth venturing a little further also, depending on how good you're getting!

I'm a body board man personally but do give the surfing a go!

I find the deeper into Cornwall you go, it gets bloody busy out on the surf. Bude's got a good balance of waves and space. Also go to Croyde Bay occasionally, equally as good!

Only got into surfing earlier this year, but picked it up quite quickly :)

Yeah was going to suggest Croyde.... you're right though, it's nice to have a bit of room when falling off.

nah under the covers is nothing to shout about... Just my standard Bic MiniMal, and a beginners Foamy for my mate to learn on.

I might chuck my Bic on top once I've cleaned the s**t off the car, and take some decent pics.

Looks tidy as every, I guess the £60 fine wasn't enough to put you off -back on the illegal plates!

Theres an inferno near me, really doesnt look all that, but i love your car!

Is the ride height standard?

Thanks mate. Yes its standard cup suspension, but has all my camping gear in the boot so looks lower.

I'll be honest, I photoshopped my plate for the pics lol
They look s**t spaced legally...

Awesome surf bus mate! I'm on a surf trip down in woolacombe again at the mo. Been some good clean fun waves over the last few days! Woohoo! Think it's dropping off tomorrow though. What board do you surf bud?

EDIT: just opend my eyes and read above lol. Fair play! Bics are good to start on. Plent of float but got enough shape to do some carves. Get yourself a nice custom when you can, much smoother to surf :).

Yeah only really started surfing this year, so the Bic does me well. When I get more monies (and tallent) I might look into getting a board custom shaped.

Hope you're having a good one dude, I'm going back to Bude again next weekend, probably the last time this year now. Been 5 times since the beginning of August! lol Will have to make do with the artificial reef they've built down here in Bournemouth for the rest of the year, so not all bad :D

Take lots of pics mate!
