Installation of new sat nav headunit

  A4 Avant
I'm thinking of purchasing a Pioneer AVIC head unit.

I've downloaded the installation instructions and everything seems simple apart from:

1. The extension lead for the speed signal sensor on the head unit. (I think this is the pink wire.) Which wire on my clio trophy do I connect into with this pink wire?
2. Slightly illegal, but how would I disable the hand brake cable sensor (the light green wire) so that DVD's and the navigation software can be played on the move.

As a side note, have any adaptors been produced yet for the stereo stalk? (its a 55 plate clio.)

Thanks,

Nige.

Thanks for the reply. Thats part two of the question answered, how about the first part? Really want to get head unit now, but want too make sure I can install the speed sensor part first!

stalk adaptors are out yeah, looking at about £30 depending on which headunit, and yeah with the handbrake sensor earth it to something good otherwise when u go over a bump you could have your screen going off and flashing PARK SENSOR

Did you ever find out the location and colour of the speed sensor (GAL) cable?

I also need to know the colour and location of the reverse signal cable for my future install.

yeah its a pink wire you get with the head unit, and it needs connecting to the the speed pulse wire. as for the handbrake cable, i earthed mine on the cage of the head unit.. must say its a great bit of kit!

Forget "reverse" signal. You don´t need it.....My Alpine dvd-nav works fine with speed-pulse only.
