Installed my williams dials

well after all that fiddling, and pissing about i finally got it done with a few cuts lol Well chuffed with them! pleased i did it at nite too so i could see which bulbs to change, however got one bulb which needs replacing, have to nip down to renault tomorrow.

Chris howd you change the milage on the clocks, getting some 2moz? Any probs or is it just a straight swap?

its easy to fit them lol. the set i bought had the same millage bar 1k so i left them! hardest part is getting the speedo cable back on i reckon, unless u got the hands of a 5 year old!

Couldnt agree more!!

In terms of the mileage it is very hard, i was told by Paul16V to use a very small screw driver and wedge it inbetween the digits i.e. say mileage is 108000 k then the screw driver needs to go here: 1|08000 and while the screw driver is wedged in you use your fingers to slowly click the thing round (it only goes one way by the way, so if you miss it, like i did loads of times, you have to go all the way round) do this for each section and hey presto!

You have to completely disassemble the dials btw to do this, and just have the speedo gauge.

Best thing to do, take the spedo off, then unclip the dials wiht the milage on it, then do the same wiht the old dials and just swap em over.

Regarding spedo cable, you have a metal bit behind the pannel, if u get the edge of it on there then you can take ur hand out and just push, just give it a tug to make sure its fixed on, prob solved.

Got and installed mine2day btw, only got a few cuyts while trying to get my hand behind to undo spedo cable.

All works cept fog light thing, but can live wihtout that, dunno if tem guage works yet, only been 5 mins done the road....after shreading my torx bit sticking the dash on.

hehe tellin u how to do em and i need to do mine myself hehe. just the hassle gettin em out, is easy but can never be arsed hehe. why is it every time u replace a bulb like 3 more go hehe

lads how do you get the speedo cable out???

ive tried to do it on my 1.4 and it just wont come out!! no matter how much i twist it. infact i managed to snap off two bits of white plastic that enclose a circuit board around the speedo cable.



help!!
