installing new cd player problems

hi all i have got to install a new cd player in an o2 authentique clio, i have never done one before so a few questions if any body can help i would apreciate it! is it the usual u shaped removal tool, what adapter will i need to get the new cd player to work or will it just plug straight in to the existing harness its a murphys cd - 7510? anything i need to know b4 doing this? how does putting a new cd player in affect the code requirements?

U shaped tool for removal, should be plug and play, will need adpators if your weanting to keep the stalk control function.

Won't need a code again unless you put the old one back in it.

so to clarify i pull old one out and insert new one it should function with no adapters but to get steering wheel controls to work i need an adapter?

yes mate! also not using an adaptor can also effect things like AC, dash lights, electric windows, auto headlights.... etc. an audio specialist told me that n he wasnt tryin to sell me anything either

not true it will be fine

only need an adaptor if you want to use the screen and steering controls

i needed a little ariel adaptor for my old pioneer one, dont know about others (think it was a pc97 or something along those lines)

if your having trouble getttin the new unit to push fully home then its probably wires in the way, i found that the wiring for the harzrad lights/door locks/rear screen was in the way. pull off that panel and you can manipulate the wiring round the side of the new unit to allow it fully home

should just be a plug n play resumming the wiring connections are the same, but if its a single DIN then it will just require a new cage to sit in, which you should get with the new HU

i plug and play them easy done,you will need a ariel adaptor through, if u want to use u steering wheel controls your unit has 2 be wot we call patch lead compatible, ie in the bottom corner of unit will be a blue female conection, u need to buy a £ 4.99 lead to go in there then a £ 29.99 lead to connect to the yellow or blue plug in the dash and jobs done hope this helps u mate ,

any ideas of the aerial adapter code? is the one above the correect one? ^^
