Installing Software Query

Ok i hope no1 gets confused with this!!

Have some software at work to go with a product we sell. Problem I have is when the software is installed as "administrator" and a licence key has been inputted etc so the software is up and running, Once thats done log out and log in as a user and try and access the software (after installing for all users) it will not run and tries to run the setup again. It asks for a disc but as some of our customers are libraries, only administrators have the rights to install stuff.

I get the same problem here but i can get round it as i have rights but is a hassle for other companies.

Now im not a software guy but could this be something to do with the software?? Or something to do with access rights within windows??

Any advice would be appreciated

Cheers

Right it looks like whats happening is when the software is installed it stores the registry file to the registry on the relevant PC
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE as it should and also installs it to HKEY_CURRENT_USER

Once it has been installed and you log on as another user the registry files for that user (in regedit) i.e HKEY_CURRENT_USER are not there for the software so therefore it wont run.

Is there a way to get around this?? As in changing part of the software to copy the reg files in each users registry?? (Probably not!) And not just the LOCAL MACHINE

I also tried installing it on a server and running it off there but same problem no registry files for HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
