Instrument panel - LCD milage display not working. Help ASAP

Hi,

Started the car the little LCD display that shows milage ect isnt working 100% some of the lines that make up the digits are missing? it was a cold damp morning could this be something to do with it. it was fine yesterday.

This happened to my climate control unit. Replace FOC under warranty... take it in matey.

not under warrenty anymore more mate, do you know what the problem was. i know my way around a car. I must confess i put a new lockwood dial set on so maybe its a lose connection?

i hope not, i cant find a replacement screen anywere. were would be a good website to look for such an item?

you can get replacement dials from any Renault Specialist, the problem is going to be that the mileage will be different.

thanks gareth, think i will get the dials out tomorrow and check the connections

I'd be surprised if the connections are loose, as they are connected to the back of the dials then locked in place.

i mean the connections on the back of the lcd itself. As i can remember it isnt a connector block for that it sits on its connectors. so hopefully not all those connectors are sitting flush with each other. I cant be arsed to take the dash off again
