Insurance after

  BG V6, LY 182
Ok so, yeah i got 6 points in two years.....need i say anymore, or anyone for that matter, My fault i know.

Anyways got my tests again soon etc etc...

Then my insurance is due next month, so my question is:

My no years no claims:
a) Do i lose them all? (2 years)
b) do i keep them all, as i have 2 years without a claim.
c) I lose this years, making me have one for my first one?

Test date:
a) My first test date.
b) My second date.

I know im about to be bent over for insurance. But i would like to get a general idea of how much i am going to pay.

Elephant for example are great, if i can say my first date my insurance is £650 FC. :D
However, same company, second date (classes me as a new driver) £2500.

A difference that i cannot ignore tbh.

Are there any insurance workers that have some info on this?

Or, have any other drivers had there licence revoked and then re-insured, if so, how have you done it?

Any help would be great.

Cheers.

I would put this to them.

Also you will have to use your newest pass date when you do your test...

You would have more then likely lost your NCB if your insurers stopped your policy. You will have to inform them of whats happened and they will ammend your premium accordingly.

(watch out tho as it will be costly!)

I haven't told them anything yet. It runs out in 5weeks. And i'v only just got things sorted after dvla sent my licence back 3 times, which they shouldn't have.

Surely i cant lose no claims, if i have held a licence and not had a claim. That would be unfair.

These drivers who get banned, and then get there licence back dont have to resit a test, and they keep there no claims etc.

Imo this system still hasnt had enough thought put into it. Although its the drivers fault for getting these points, i think they are being unfairy treated compared to drivers who have been banned for xx about of time. Surely they should have to sit another driving test and be treat as harshly as a new driver.

As for the price, there is £2000 (Yes, Two thousand Pounds) difference with one company depending on pass dates.

Oh and also, how fcuked up could dvla be?
We went to the Dvla head office in Newcastle earlier today with my two driving licence's. One full and one provisional. Knowing full well that i should not have my Full one, so we get talking to the girl and she finally confirms it has been revoked, although no letters have been sent to me, we then show her the provisional, she looks confused at how we had two. So we explained the situation of how we put a covering letter in with the application for a provisional saying the police were sending the full licence to you to be destroyed, hopefully speeding the process up. So Monday comes, and so does my full licence in the post. Tuesday comes, so does my provisional.
In the end the girl who was cheking it all out, says her supervisor said there is no need to hand the full licence in, just destory it.... So we walked out with two licence's.
