Insurance and VAT??

I got a quote from sky insurance thursday, ready to look at a 172 cup on friday.
well i put a deposit down on the car, when i rung sky insurance to sort the policy they where closed until tuesday. So my question is will the quote have gone up because of the vat increase or stayed the same?? :S

Surely they have saved the quote, so it should stay the same?!

I should hope so, i just didnt know if they saved the quote or would have to start a fresh, so would of increased. Guess ill find out tommorow!!

insurance premium tax went up from 5% to 6% on Jan 1st so may go up slightly

This will depend on when you told us you wanted cover from. If you stated after the new year then there should be no price increase.
