Insurance options

Looking for abit of advice when i goto Uni in september...

I would like to take my car with me, however there are around 12 parking spaces for the whole uni or somthing very stupid.

Can you insure a car, for say just weekends? Like pay normally, but you can only drive on weekends - or would you just have to do day insure?

I thought about just putting in silly low milage, say 1000 miles a year or somthing and seeing if that works out any better.

So stupid tho, i won't be using my car as much - and the cheapest i can find is £1800 (206 1.4!), but a BMW 316 (E46) is about £300 more.

Any ideas? Don't really want to sell the car as i will still be using it/needing it.

Whatever you're doing, it will need to be insured if it's gonna be on the road (obv), but I would just lower the mileage.

you would probably find that doing day insurance would be cheapest but the most ball ache for you as i personally cba calling the insurance man up every weekend just so i can go and drive somewhere.

Why do you need a car?

I have no intention of taking mine with me, it'ss just not worth it int eh first year dude.

If you take your car to uni be prepared for giving lifts, supermarket trips etc

Also, with no insurance during the week, what you going to do if its stolen?
