insurance quote 18y/o on 172

  Renault Laguna Coupe

Does anyone actually pay these premiums, or do the insurance companies just quote them for a laugh?

Most Premiership players under 23 drive around in Aston Martins, Ferraris, etc. so I am sure there are people in the UK who pay stupid insurance prices like that.

  Meg on pistonheads £6995

sorry mate thats exactly 10 x my premium with a speeding conviction, a claim and a modified car!!

stick with it - a few years no claims and a wife is all you need!!

(a bit drastic, but youre Mum, girlfriend or misses will lower your premium)

  Tappd'd RS

ouch! Will you be accepting the quote ;)

Dont go for a 10 month policy - most companies wont accept this as a period of no claims!

Thats actually a bargain, paid that for my 1.2 in its first year. Sure you didnt fill anything in wrong there? :s

no all in properly!

i thort it was good to b honest i didnt even expect them to quote me anything!

have been quoted £850 on my own policy on my 1.4 which is very good me thinks

Thats a good price achually.

Permiership players and other young rich drivers usually have a few ways round the insuracne game one is to register all the cars to a business and then pay cheap business ate insurance so although they dont build up NCB it doesnt matter and anyone with the owners permission can drive the cars. Another way round it is for the company who gave them the car to insure it for them ie Ferrari insuring Becham on his cars as part of a sponcership deal as it makes there cars look good.

Good for tax breaks etc if you have a good insurance specialist and accountant.

Sometimes adding other drivers wont make it any cheaper for me any other driver they wanted another £50 minimum. And this wasnt just with one insuracne company.

That confused.com can be a rip of in some cases (mine for sure)
