Insurance recommendations for NON hot hatch - Prestige / High end

  Transit & Death trap
Hi,
I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of an insurance firm who can offer a reasonable quote on a Mercedes SLK200.
I've tried Greenlight and Adrian flux, but Greenlight weren't interested in quoting on that car and Adrian flux came back higher than the cheapest price on confused.com :(
So does anyone who have any recommendations or suggestions for (NON hot hatch) insurance firms?
Thanks :)

Endsleigh insurance are good as are direct line on the normal prestige type stuff.

if its a standard car think you will get some good quotes on the comparrison sites.

What about companies like A-Plan, Livingstone Warman, Graham Sykes, Keith Michaels etc? All a bit more specialist than comparison site results, but not sure on their individual best price niches.

Thanks for the info Neil, I just tried Endsleigh and they want over £2,000! :(
It's a shame you guys can't help me on this occasion, as your quote for my 172 was amazing and I have been recommending you to anyone I speak to, who's looking to insuring a sporty hatchback, etc :approve:
Best I've had on the SLK so far is £658, so I think I'll try one more company (don't want a million credit searches against my name. LOL) and see if they can beat that.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys, much appreciated.

It wont appear as a credit search I dont think mate...

I'm not too sure either, but I remember hearing something about it before plus one of the online quotes I was about to do had it in their terms.
It said something about using credit reference agencies, blah, blah, blah, so I thought it best to not do too many.
