Interesting windscreen dilemma!

Car  e60 M5 -172- dciheid
Got a stone chip, asked for a new windscreen as i thought the chip was quite bad and a few spider legs.

Got told it was repairable (even though I said on the phone it was a inch wide) guy turns up, whooft, ill give it a go

and...........

its filled it in, but spider legs and chip still noticeable, so waste of £10 excess and now needs to get a windscreen.

Moral of story - just replace the thing!!! The advert on tv for windscreen repair is misleading, as its really noticeable even after resin injection.

So my advice - always get a new windscreen!

i have 2 little chips about an inch up. whats the company you used? how much is it if you cant use your insurance?

yeh AG, the guy to be fair said it would leave the spider marks.

its covered it and repaired it, but ill be getting the whole lot replaced at some point.

it was a £10 er so not a huge deal.

I had one done by Rac a while ago and it's barely noticable, Glad he could repair it though as the windscreen he brought was the wrong one
