Intermittent on my cup, can I just change the stalk?

  Black Twingo GT
I know this has been asked before but know one seems to be able to answer.

I'll try again...

I have a Cup with no adjuster on the stalk for intermittent, I believe that a 5 year old child set the speed of mine it may as well not be there.

From my experience of Escorts in the past, you can simply change the stalk, the current is resisted to the relay and it adjusts the wipe delay. Now my question is, is this the same on my clio? or would I need a stalk and a relay?

Does anyone know the answer because the rainy trips to Warrington of a morning are starting to really P**s me off.

Thanks

Dan

Yes ....you can change it, guide somewhere

£44 iirc from renault (for the stalk)

If you are clever with electronics you could try yourself?

Is this the nubbin that controls the intermittent speed with the little dashes that get thicker? If so, I've had two Clio's with this (including my current Cup) and I've never noticed any difference between the far end of either setting, both seem to do nothing until you can't see out of the window anymore. Just a time variable wipe (instead of this "clever" sensitive technology) would be lovely!

Thats all I needed to know, I didn't want to go out and buy a time variable stick and find I needed to change the relay as well.

Thanks guys, I'll buy one now...hopefully then I'll be able to set my intermittent to something slower than it currently it is (pointless).
