I wouldn't term it 7th best in the world as thats very misleading. 7th best out of the entrants who entered an internationl competition yes, but thats very different to 7th best in the world.
Photography is far too varied a medium to ever say who are the 'best' photographers. As ukaskew said earlier in the thread, its always worth entering competitions because you never know who else entered.
