Ipad battery

So I have an Ipad 3.

It's about 6 months old, and I've noticed the battery is suddenly going down quick, probably about 1 percent every 5/10 mins from normal usage surfing.

No damage caused to it just randomly started doing it.

Where do I stand?

I think you'll find all batteries do this eventually ...although that does seem quite rapid :S is it still under warranty?

Yeah 6 months left on the warranty but I'm not sure if they will say rod off or will want to send it away for testing

Back up and wipe the device, see if it still does it, may be software related.

FYI I sat for 7 hours yesterday watching films and it only used about 40% of battery.

I'm going to let it die tonight then recharge 100 percent then see how long it lasts on a full charge. Tried seeing roughly how long each percentage it should be. It was 35 percent at 6pm tonight it's not 9 percent and used it for about 2.5 hours
