Iphone 3g cracked glass

Has anyone managed to damage their iphone and replaced the broken glass yet?

I dropped it getting into the car earlier and it decided to hit the only stone in the driveway right on the silver border cracking the glass.

Touchscreen and LCD are all working perfectly.

Ive no iphone insurance which i now realise was stupid of me.

Is that the screen itself or the plastic casing? I know someone that has a 3g 8GB with a crack in the plastic casing, screen itself is perfect though like paddy's. Think I would just put clear tape over it TBH to smooth it out.

Yeah its just the glass thats broken and i had a Zagg over it.

The screen seems to be starting to go now too with the colours inverted.

Arse arse arse.

Yeah result will now be new lcd panel along with glass and possibly touch matrix although thats still working.

Fingers crossed MoreThan home insurance will cover it.

Dude, i no its wrong but you could always take insurance out now, then claim say 1 month down the line?!
