Same here, was tempted by the potential extra £30, and them saying that very minor damage would only be 10% anyway, which knocks it back to £270.
Mazuma are a very easy company to deal with!
O2 are so behind, cant believe you can't pre-order yet!!
They'll be working the market like they always try to.

o2 won't be doing that Simplicity deal for the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5's LTE doesn't operate at the 2 frequency bands that OFCOM are auctioning off (the ones Vodafone & o2 are looking at getting and launching 4G on).
There's a possibility they could both be allowed to refarm one of their 3G bands to use 4G instead (not likely to happen for a while), or OFCOM could force EE to let them use their's (unlikely).
o2 already have a decent 3G network though, capable of running at 41mbps, and are launching DC-HSDPA soon that's even faster. EE's 4G network will only run at 21mbps to start with.
Worth bearing in mind, although not many people will require that level of speed anyway.

I've just pre-ordered mine as an upgrade with O2 through car phone warehouse

Will most likely sell the handset in 12 months, and upgrade with a handset only.
