Is this going to be a standardised dock connector on all future iPads and iPods, or just for the iPhone I wonder....

I would imagine it will be the new standard for quite a few years now. They've just given all the reasons the old one is out of date, so seems unlikely they would then carry on using it on other things.

I like the reversible dock connector, currently always a nuisance trying to connect it to the charger in the dark.
