iPhone lap timing with video logging

Harry's lap timer app, with the video option (extra £2.99)
Gave it a try today, dash mounted, uses the iPhone 4's internal gps.

(Video is still being processed by yt, so quality should improve)

Mount I'm using for road use is this

I've ordered this for track days

Not the cheapest solution, but the ban on suction mounts makes things tricky!

They work really well, but the iphone needs to be in a case. Great for using it as a satnav.

I did fella, both work really well. The one you use has better analysis features, the Harry's version is a bit easier to setup and use. I'll be trying both when I book my next track day.

Just realised headrest mount wouldn't work anyway, not enough gps signal. Dash mount it is!

where abouts in worcester are you Brown Bear? i've probably asked before as your Car info on the left looks familiar!

nice vid btw, there's alot of decent roads around that area to make a more interesting track, but the app looks pretty cool!

Following on from that, decided I needed a track friendly mount for the iphone. Went for this, not cheap (£50ish), but sturdy and stable. Had to use some rubber bungs between the arms to help it grip and protect the dash. But it works!
