iPhone notification help

By an annoying coincidence, the O2 signal at home is just as weak as it is in the office at work.

I'm well aware of this with various phones over the years, but the iPhone insists on telling that the 'Network Has Been Lost'. Yes, I know - I can see that. :( Seemingly I can only cancel the message or attempt to search for another network.

I've switched Notifications to be off, but it still appears. Sometimes its really infuriating - using the phone on the internet and this notification can come up every 30secs or so.

Is there anyway of switching it off permanently? It's doing my tree in! ;)

do you mean "cellular data network has been lost"

i only get this if 3G is down, only happened a hand full of times though

I'll try and get a pic of it on the works phone - lol. Got me thinking that it could be a pure 3G issue. However, when it does say 'No Service' in the top left corner - that's when the message comes up. :(

I feel your pain!!! Mine has started doing this the last couple if weeks. Mainly on my 42mile commute and it's bloody annoying. God knows why it's just started.

put it in airplane mode at home?

Doesn't Airplane Mode stop it receiving calls completely though? The signal varies at either location - some days it's really bad and other days just mediocre. I wouldn't want to disable the phone completely - just a way to stop these bloody messages!
